An interesting article from the folks in Cody. Sort of a statement of the current situation although the title, "Wyoming hunting doesn't disrupt wolves" is obviously incorrect (Lamar Canyon Pack).

"Facts on the ground seem to quell objections from both extremes of the wolf debate â that either the predators have no place here, or that Wyoming's management kills too many wolves, Bruscino said.
Wolves have filled a vital niche in the natural order of Yellowstone country. Still, even while under federal protection for many years, they failed to establish themselves in any significant numbers outside the northwest corner of the Wyoming.
The rest of the state is too highly developed toward agriculture or human settlement to be suitable for free-ranging wolf packs, he said."
