Just off US 20 and just past the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway turnoff is Harriman State Park. Donated to the state of Idaho by the Averell Harriman family, HSP is a lovely park on the banks of the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. They have refurbished and opened a few of the original ranch buildings to the public. Harriman is world renown not only by fly fishermen, but also by bird watchers. Picture is of Silver Lake, now closed to fishing, but was the Harriman's private trout lake. This is all about 25 miles or so from West Yellowstone.
