What they should do is connect the south terminations at OF and GV with a circuit, thereby creating a loop. That way if a cut occurred between Lake and Grant Village, for example, the electricity would continue to feed from the OF substation.
Given the environmental assessments and the requirement to cut vast swaths of trees down to do that, however, I don't see that happening any time soon.
