An experienced Yellowstone hiker told me she sometimes hangs out at the trailhead waiting for others to gang up with, which she enjoys doing. Pelican Valley was the particular example we were discussing and she had success there. (I kinda want to do the hike and see Turbid Pool too but I won't do it alone.)
