but the road sign at Emigrant junction is 31 miles to YNP, and the massive peak is a few miles closer than that. Since I see it out my window from the north, I always think it is SO COOL to see it when hiking the peaks in YNP. You can ID Emigrant from Holmes, Electric, near Trilobite Lake and probably some others I have forgotten. Probably Sepulchre and Boundary Hill, but don't quote me on that.
