There have been "plans" for years to remove Tower General Store and build a new one somewhere else for years (decades) now.

The current Tower/Roosevelt Development Plan calls for removal of the current store, expanding the parking lot for the falls, and building a brand new store & dormitory across the street from the existing Tower Service Station.

I suspect when the concession bid packages come out for the contract to run the stores in the next couple of years, that will be one of the requirements.
