I think I retired in '11. I worked 2 years at hotel, 5 at lodge. The hotel rooms would be too expensive for me also, but the cabins are more reasonable, especially the Pioneer and Frontiers at the lodge. Camping may be the only way many families can afford a longer stay in the park.
