You might have noticed Kevin sitting at the far end of the bridge glassing something. This is what it was. It noisily hovered more or less low to the ground over a small area just south of the Jenny Lake visitor center/store/parking lot. It had some kind of thin bomb-shaped weight - I'm guessing it was casing for a sensor of some kind - hanging from its belly by a cable. You can see the cable in the photo (with the tree inconveniently hiding the business end). Rather than looking for something specific (a collared critter?) it seemed to be more of an exercise since it wasn't traversing the area in any particularly systematic way. We never did figure out what it was doing, but I bet the views from up there were terrific.
