It tends to be somewhat of a warm hike, in spite of the re-growth much of it is still not shaded. Rounding the corner past the field of pick-up-sticks, Fairy Falls is so refreshingly cool and beautiful.
As we passed a family going out as we neared the falls, one of the very excited kids told us a big berg of ice had tumbled over the falls and made a big splash in the pool below while they watched. I would have enjoyed seeing that too!
