An absolutely great book, Yellowstone Treasures, by Janet Chapple, is a very good investment. I'd suggest getting it ahead of time and familiarizing yourself with it; it's designed for visitors traveling the loop roads and has stop-by-stop information that will help you pick which places you most want to see. You can get it on Amazon or at Yellowstone Treasures website, which in itself is full of good information.
