Paul,

When I first started working with a Bozeman realtor in 1997, preparatory to my migration to the area, I told him I was passionate about Yellowstone. He said "You'll get over it!" Eighteen years later, it still hasn't happened, although, admittedly, I am in temporary exile.

Ironically, at this time of year, the tables are turned. Bozeman gets crowded, what with Bobcat football games, events at the MOR, and even the bears following the creeks down out of the hills, and converging on the city.

If you really want some vistas sans tourons, with some fall colors thrown in, explore the areas off the beaten path away from Bozeman, like Jefferson, Madison, Meagher, and Sweetwater Counties, before the snow starts accumulating.
