Where do the images come from?
The dimensions (in pixels or in inches) of the photo where it resides on a server determine the size of the photo linked here. I make a reduced version of my photos (and keep the full-size version as well!) to 640 pixels which converts to about 2.1 inch by 3.3 inch (according to PhotoShop) before posting them on a server. That allows for adequate resolution and viewable size on the chat page.
Here's a sweet "cowboy quilt" from the Clark's Fork Valley Museum in Fromberg, Montana, along the way from I-90 to Lovell, WY, gateway to the Big Horns :-)
