P-Loop Trail

I've a couple of questions.

Any one ever use the P-loop Trail that connects the Canyon
Cabins to the North Rim? Is there much to see on it (animals)
or is it pretty lackluster?

Also, I'll be staying in an ADA Western Cabin in Canyon -
anyone know where abouts those type cabins are located (I'm
trying to gauge how close to the P-Loop Trail I'll be)? I'm
assuming all if not most of the western cabins are located in
the "Beaver Meadows" section?
