There is an article in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle that reminds folks that the states of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming take over responsibility for managing grizzlies in Greater Yellowstone and beyond today. If the intended lawsuits do not side-rail it, this will be a major milestone in achievement under the Endangered Species Act, and there will be hope for the listing of the canada lynx, wolverine, and Yellowstone cutthroat trout. If the lawsuits prevail, we will see more ammo put in the hands of the interests that want to eviscerate or destroy the Endangered Species Act. The fact is that the Yellowstone grizzly population achieved the goals set forth during the listing process quite a while ago. By repeatedly delaying delisting, certain well-intentioned, but misguided, environmental groups inadvertently stuck it to other species who are on the ropes even worse than the Yellowstone Grizzly. Just my opinion. You may see it differently.

I posted this on Facebook as well, and expect it will generate some lively discussion over there.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle link is too long for the page parameters, here is the link for anyone willing to copy and paste:
