...except on the channel between Lewis and Shoshone lakes. You cannot put in on any other river or stream. The link below is to the description of the boating regulations provided on this site; it has a lot of information. Be very careful if you boat on the big lakes (Yellowstone, Lewis and Shoshone). They are very cold and can become very quickly rough and dangerous if a storm blows in. Many people have died of hypothermia when they fell out of their boat. That being said, have fun! Think also about the Snake River in Alpine Canyon below Jackson Wyoming for kayaking. It is outside of the park and a fun whitewater run.
