The answer is no. But it does have an interesting story behind the name.

In his book Yellowstone Place Names (Wonderland Publishing, 2006) on page 254 Lee says that M.E. Richey (USGS) and Chief Park Naturalist David Condon named it in 1955 due to its proximity to the "Turkey Pen cabin."

According to Whttlesey, that cabin was built in 1867 by George Huston and was where "the hapless Truman Everts was taken in in 1870 following his 'Thirty Seven Days of Peril' lost in the Yellowstone wilderness."

Whittlesey continues on to say that according to undocumented legend Huston was visited by friends as he was building the cabin and they commented that the rough unchinked walls looked like a turkey pen.
