OK, now that you have a perspective on the size of the mv Ptarmigan, you will better understand just how big that glacier is.

The "close-up" of the boat is admittedly not the highest quality shot. It was shot handheld zoomed to the max. I didn't feel like schlepping a tripod and head over the pass that day.
