The days are longer, the crowds growing but still a lot smaller, the lake free of ice (I canoe), the nights chilly but they days warm. I cannot speak to whether the flowers you want would be blooming, but one friend who canoed Yellowstone Lake with me showed us dozens of varieties of wildflowers out there, and they were certainly blooming. I would guess that plants that grow that high and cold learn to bloom early. JUNE IS THE BEST!
We had to cancel this year too--first time in more than twenty years I missed the trip. Next year FOR SURE!
