Well, not as much to write about as I'd hoped. AFter looking like a decent day, the
clouds moved in mid-morning and the southern part of the park even had some light
sprinkles on and off. The clouds killed the lighting conditions...

The highlight of the day was watching a mom griz and three cubs between East
Entrance and Sylvan Pass. She was beautiful down by the river in the tan/brown fall
grass with the cubs wandering around. Too far for photos from my setup, but the guy
with a 1200 lens was able to pull them in. I had to settle for my 60x scope. It was
wonderful.

A couple blacktail deer were munching roadside in some fall colored foliage above Lake
Butte, so they got my attention. Saw a couple bald eagles heading along the lake. Got
to Lewis Falls but the clouds and rain were moving in, so the lighting was flat. It looks
like it might be another year before I get the shot I want there. Ran back up to Hayden,
but nothing overly exciting to report, but the day ended with a moose near the picnic
area about 3 miles east of Pahaska Teepee just outside the East Entrance.

I'm hoping for one more trip in through the Northeast entrance, but with the weather
forecast taking a turn for the (much) colder mid-week, I'm not sure that's going to
happen. If they're calling for snow here in the basin, I can only imagine what Wed-Sat.
is going to bring to the high country in/around YNP .

Will try to post photos later this week...
