Just planning to stay at the backcountry camp on the Specimen Creek Trail next summer, using as a base and hiking up to Shelf and Cliff Lakes. Does anyone know if the fishing has been restored? From the info I had been given in the past there were no fish in the lakes, but plans were to stock in the future. Is this true??? I also have heard that there is a lot of burned out areas from the Owl fire a few years ago. Has anyone been up there recently that could tell me if it is just a dead area or beautifully rejuveniated? Thanks a bunch!
