I managed to get up to Trout Lake last month, on the 19th or 20th. There was a ranger at the inlet who told me the spawning trout were true cutthroats - I had once been told by a different ranger that they were cutbows - whichever they are, they're pretty fish. There were some photographers from National Geographic there that day filming the spawning activity and hoping for otters, which they said they had just missed by about 15 mins. We hiked up over the hill to Buck Lake also. Seeing your photos brings back good memories. Thanks, GH. More! More! :-)
