and regained about a gig of space. They can take up a lot of room. For actual comparison, I think I removed about 80 pictures, so that might buy you what you need. I still haven't decided to upgrade to IOS6 though. Not sure if I have to on my 2nd generation iPad and I have an antique phone. Doesn't even have a touchscreen. (I can hear the gasps of horror)
