I was thinking about Midway the other day. As far as I know, it has the 2 largest features in the park, Grand Priz and Excelsior. I wonder if there are any theories about why there, why at Midway? Closer heat source? Different underlying strata?
Both have tremendous water sources and both are about as hot as any features in the park. Just wondering if there is some kind of scientific reason for that, or if it's "just because."
