...to adapt for a drawing? I want to give credit to those who are contributing to a sketch. The archaeologist Amelia Edwards (think Amelia Peabody novels) did a wonderful cartoon of a "Secretary Bird" for one of her acquaintances with naturalistic feet, not drawn very well. The ancient Egyptians drew human feet and legs on their illustrations of Thoth, the god of wisdom, personified by an Ibis. I was going to use one of my own photos of a magpie for the tailfeathers, but didn't have good views of the feet. Your picture is better, though I don't know what type of bird that is. Thanks!
