where the road was more of an ORV trail than a road, no longer wide enough for the van to make the turns. Time to park, pack up and hike the rest of the way. We did cut out roughly 4-5 miles of hiking (that's only one way!)by driving back here. We saw a couple of groups on ORV's. A couple of them said, "I can't believe you made it all the way back here!"
We made it to within half a mile of the wilderness boundary.
