I've wondered about the "non-native" classification of mountain goats in Yellowstone (I hadn't given the Tetons much thought). It seemed to me that if they wandered into the park on their own like they did, they should be considered native. I did not know that the Idaho fish and game brought them into the region in 1969. It makes a lot more sense to me now.
