I'm glad you enjoyed the trip!

Yes, I am roughly 100 pounds lighter than I was in those earlier photos. Unfortunately, losing the wt. and getting off the asthma inhalers hasn't solved the altitude issues as I thought it would.

I guess I just have to face the fact that I am not good with high elevations. As a rule, I drink more water than most at my MI elevation. Soooo, when we get high, I cannot possibly stay hydrated because I need more water than normal and "normal" is a lot for me. Does that make sense?

I know my limits and I'm okay with tooling around at lower elevations while the rest of them climb. I am thankful for time to just be in the mountains and for the ability to do what I can do.

Thanks again for your kind words and I'm really glad you enjoyed the TR!

Oh, Carolyn and Steve did some winter camping along Slough Creek the first week in January. Hope to get some photos from that trip to share when Carolyn has internet access. She also said she had her first "three dog day" last week :-) She is really enjoying her first winter in the park - lots of skiing and such!
