There always seems to be a black bear sow right in that area, always called "Rosie" after Roosevelt Lodge.

This is a bad photo of last summer's black bear at Calcite - she had two little cubs on the other side of the log she's leaning on; the little guys continued to nap the whole time we watched. Could have been the same Rosie, or a different one, I couldn't tell if she had "earrings."
