The Eisenberg work he cites is by Christina Eisenberg, who was on our November 2012 polar bear trip guided by Jim Halfpenny. Her forthcoming book deals with predator behavior, I think she took at least 20,000 photos, camera always on continuous shooting, her finger pressed down on the shutter at all times. I guess I'll have to buy the book if I want to see her photos :-)
