Several of these have turned up for sale over the past few years. This one was listed as a "Mammoth soldiers cabin" in an article in the Billings Gazette that I was sent (http://tinyurl.com/9wljbs3). With a construction date of 1950 it is obviously not that since the army left Yellowstone in 1918. It may be one of the concession cabins that were sold off as the park's cabin operations were downsized. Anyone interested in the cabin would do well to thoroughly investigate its pedigree. At $37K plus moving expenses it is not being given away.
