The bend in the river here is just like the coastline at Seal Beach. It's at an angle that makes directions somewhat debatable. The Seal Beach Pier sticks out into the ocean and since everything west of CA is the ocean, logically the pier has a north side and a south side, right? But the pier actualy runs more north and south. When people say the north side, it's really more the west side. The Yellowstone flows north, so whatever is on the downstream side is north and whatever is on the upstream side is south. The bridge has the same issue as the pier. North = west and south = east. As Daniel Booneonce said, "Well, I've never been lost, but I'll admit to being confused for several weeks."
