Red polls pulled out of our place in Bozeman yesterday, probably heading back to Canada. It was pleasant having them for four months. Canada geese arrived after sundown Saturday and today at noon Bozeman time in came the gray headed finches. Last time I saw them was at Phantom Lake YNP. These probably came up the Gallatin Valley from West Yellowstone. Quite a sight and the numbers are impressive.

Also, for those that track this kind of data, there is a great gray owl in the small park by the Bozeman Library. Very complacent I am given to know by my sources in Bozeman.
