Always a Loon! Welcome back!

It's been years since I did any hiking/walking around from the tram terminus at Rendezvous, but unless you're pretty well conditioned to 11K feet, it can be a long, slow slog back up to the tram from Cody Bowl. Just take it easy and take something with you - ibuprofen or whatever - in case somebody gets an altitude headache. DO NOT take ibuprofen if someone gets a nosebleed though.

Also (and don't depend on MY memory of anything), I think the area is pretty open and there are usually plenty of people around, so it shouldn't be too hard to stay on the trail.

An alternative route and better suited to flatlanders is the walk down from the tram. It's about 7 miles (again, double-check my figures) to the village, but it's a lot easier and it takes you through several alpine zones and affords lots of scenery. Unless somebody's knees are really bad, it should be do-able because it's not steep anywhere - in fact the trail is passable road though it's exceedingly unlikely you'd encounter a vehicle.
