According to the NPS web site (with perfect grammar, of course):

"The David T. Vernon Indian Arts Museum have [sic] been sent to a conservation facility. Visit us in 2012 to see new exhibits."

I can't find any information hinting at when the collection will come back to Colter Bay. Perhaps it's not known when the funding will be available to do so?

But as in summers past, the visiting Indian artists are still there. Different artists bring their wares - jewelry, beadwork, beautiful clothing, etc., which they sit behind a table making and selling. I'm glad that's an ongoing program, it puts people in touch with real artists and craftsmen and gives the Indian artisans a nice outlet for their work and for outreach, which many of them like to do.
