Presumably a Sony HX300 (rather than Canon), DavePA?

I couldn't tell that the zoomed pictures were noisy, per se (but I'm no camera expert). Could they be a little blurry and hazy because of the full zoom? Were you using a tripod and/or image stabilisation? (Not that this would help with the haziness).
