Like I said about the lobby at Chico - just looking at a photo of it makes me think about the fun of meeting Roadie there for dinner, and just looking at Lake Lodge pics will now always remind me of the serendipity of running into you, at the last moment before your long-term departure for points north, and the morning of Kevin's and my last day in the park for this year.
Of course it was a treat, too, to meet Bison for the first time the evening before at Cowboy's in Gardiner, and then to see him again the next morning!
And speaking of watching fires from favorite Yellowstone porches, nine years ago in July, Doug Dance and I were putting our feet up on the railing at Roosevelt when we saw lightning strike in the distance off to our right. It turned out to be the exact strike that started the Amethyst fire (of which he, of course, got spectacular photos).
