Not much happening. Some flies, a few beetles, wolves of course at 4 miles at Hell roaring, even the elk are grazing in Gardiner...no hurry, warm weather, lots of grass "What Me Worry".

Got as far as Norris on opening day in almost perfect white out conditons, deep snow, sky meets ground.

Lots of time to fine tune equipment.

Two sets of moose; one at phantom lake plus or minus a mile the other at Lave Creek plus or minus 2 miles.

Few bluebids, three woodpeckers

And here is a wonderment. Still there? Well, the guv'mint has sealed all the holes in the sign posts that flickers and bluebirds used to nest. So forget the bullnoce at Mammoth, the direction sign at Roosevelt, the direction sign at the bathroom stop at Roosevelt. Sealed, plugged, and no more.

Guess we got to get our pictures the old fashioned way now....get out of the car.

What is this world coming to?
