Believe it or not, in all these visits, we'd never eaten in the Grant Village Dining Room. This trip, since we were staying at Lake and didn't want to eat at the Deli or in the Hotel Dining Room (where we had had two lovely dinners) we ventured south 25 miles or so to investigate Grant. The building exterior is pleasantly modern, the interior is "modernly" rustic with clean wood struts and beams and huge windows looking out at the lake. We were quite pleased with the food and the service, though the service wasn't put to the test because the place wasn't full (late May and the visitors hadn't hit the fan yet). It should be considered a good alternative to Lake Hotel dining, though reservations are strongly advised. We had them but arrived 45 minutes early and they were able to seat us but I wouldn't count on that being the case during peak season.
