We were fairly lucky. We saw the badger on the first day. Walked down to the river and he appeared to be working on a den on the other side. Only other time we saw one was many years ago in the first slough creek meadow.
I've seen a lot of wolves in the park, but that was back when the druids ruled the roost. Didn't expect to see one this year, and in truth I didn't. Everyone else saw him thru the scope but I didn't get a peek.
Moose were funny in that we saw both in the same place - the exit of Blacktail Deer Plateau road. Both were lying down and only their heads (or horns) visible. Female apparently had a calf with her, but we didn't see it. There were also 2-3 bears at that spot those two days. We only saw one, but just missed the others.
