In any case, BP, thanks for stepping up to the plate here. Although I greatly enjoyed the beautiful, romantic photography, I too have read more recent scientific analyses that disabuse the (seemingly reasonable) hypothesis that the presence of wolves had a repairative domino effect. Even though I wish it were so, it's kind of a big burden for a maximum of 160 or 170 dogs, in my albeit limited view.

The bottom line is, nature is a he11 of a lot more complicated than we think. That's exactly why we love it. And science works by positing theories and either demonstrating that they're probably accurate, or revealing that they're probably not. So I have no problem with any of this. Just don't believe everything you see.
