We will be bringing our son and daughter in law to YNP next June, along with our 8 year old grandson, who is on the "low end" of the autism scale. While we are fully aware of the extra safety precautions we need to take, we are wondering if anyone else has experience in the park with a special needs child..anything we need to anticipate. He loves the outdoors, and is really looking forward to the trip, especially the yaks (umm, bison) and the very, very hot bubbling mud "blurps". He's learning to use his binoculars, and is busy "studying" all the places to go. His mom is really concerned that he will have a meltdown at the wrong time, and that the smells could be too much. Any ideas on how to proceed would be much appreciated.
