The announcement speaks of rest rooms downstairs. They just might be hanging on to those gems. Even though they are a bit outdated, I sure appreciate being able to pull up right across from the VC in the evening, as I'm leaving the park, and not have to go through the longer walk from/to the parking lot at "Big John".
My house is in Baxter Meadows, probably a few blocks east of you. I think if we can get one more Loon to locate in that area, we can designate Baxter Meadows as an "official Yellowstone Loon sanctuary".
Actually, there was a former Yellowstone interpretive ranger/YAI instructor, who now works for the City of Bozeman, living in Baxter Meadows when I first moved in. She was on the HOA Board for a while, but is not any longer. She and her hubby were both Yellowstone interps once upon a time. I just don't think either of them ever found the time to hang out on the web very much. (They were "poor starving grad students" when I first met them.)
