It was on that road many years ago where I literally had a marmot run from off one side of the road and kamikaze head first into the hubcap of my front right tire.
As you say, we were only doing 10-15 mph. After the initial shock and stun wore off, the little critter wandered back into cover on the right side of the road and my passenger and I were left in shock at it all.
