Elk counts have been fairly stable lately. Big drop between 1995 to...I dunno, 2005? Blame wolves, bears, and drought. Bear eat a lot of calves.
They manage (kill) lots of bison every winter when they migrate out of the park. I think they keep the pop. at 3 to 5 thousand.
