I appreciate the input and advice. BP - I did Avalanche Peak 2 years ago and intend to do it again this year and will most certainly have my pepper spray with me. I'm fortunate to have friends who live in Jackson, WY so I have a set of gear I leave there including bear spray, stove fuel, etc.
I always give the trigger a quick squeeze to test it before I head out. Might be due to retire mt current can this year
