Jackson Hole tram ride to the top of Rendezvous Peak from Teton Village, just south of the south entrance to GTNP, is great fun. If the weather is good, it's a marvelous opportunity to see some of the peaks at eye level; sometimes people see bears, moose, deer, etc., from the tram. Your ticket is 2-way; if you're up for walking around at 10,000 feet it's quite the experience, or you can ride up and walk back down to Teton Village, I think 7 miles (again double check if you're interested). They just renovated the tram a couple of years ago, it's a very elegant Swiss (who better!) machine. June 2013 photo.
