We visited Jackson and Yellowstone last month. We stayed at the Jackson Lake Lodge for the first part of our vacation and then moved to Silver Gate, MT and stayed in the Whispering Pines cabins. The location of the Jackson Lake Lodge was perfect when visiting the town of Jackson and Yellowstone. Plus, you have an outstanding view of the Tetons from the lodge. And, Silver Gate, MT. is a wonderful town to visit and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. I would strongly recommend driving over the Beartooth Highway, It was worth the trip.
