Because instead of offering an explanation for the removal, or a warning and brief wait time before removal of the offending post, members are kicked out (blocked).

I find that unreasonably harsh. Sometimes people don't even realize what they're posting will be taken as a political post. Since I rarely go there anymore, I didn't see the post in question. Was it just about the fact that the VP was visiting, or was there an accompanying opinion in the post? Would a positive commentary be left up, but a negative one (there were plenty of those about his visit and what he said and did on other FB pages devoted to Yellowstone) would that get the poster blocked? At some point the zero-tolerance vigilance of the moderators could become counter-productive.
