to what is essentially the mouth to Death Canyon, to which you can hike from there. You can also reach the lake from the Death Canyon trail head,. which is a bit farther north along the road, but it's a steep trek back out. We've done it both ways and both are so rewarding, but this is flatter and you spend almost all the time by the creek or the lake.
