Great hike. Took a pack string from Hellroaring to Gardiner via the Yellowstone River trail, once upon a time, and have hiked from Gardiner to Bear Creek and Crevice Creek a few times. If you follow the normal safety precautions (bear spray, water, food/snacks, first aid kit, clothing, footwear, and good friends) you should have a great time. June is a good time of year to make that hike. Enjoy!
